Dr. Karen L. Brune received her dental assistant certification and dental hygiene degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1978. After practicing dental hygiene for eight years, she pursued her dental degree and graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1990. Dr. Brune has been recognized as the only individual to ever complete the University of Texas Dental Branch's dental assistant, dental hygiene and dental programs. Upon graduation, Dr. Brune completed a one year Fellowship in one of the only cosmetic dentistry postgraduate programs in the United States. She has lectured locally and nationally on cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Brune retains an associate professor position at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. She is a longtime member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Greater Houston Dental Society. She and her husband, Tim, have three children.
Dr. Heather F. Fleschler is a native Houstonian. Dr. Fleschler graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000 with a degree in Speech Pathology. Dr. Fleschler received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston - Dental Branch. Dr. Fleschler was honored at graduation by receiving the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry Award. Upon graduation, Dr. Fleschler completed one year of post graduate training in a General Practice Residency Progam at Hermann Hospital. Dr. Fleschler values the importance of staying current with the newest dental techniques and materials. Dr. Fleschler is currently working towards obtaining her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also certified in Invisalign Orthodontics. Dr. Fleschler maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, Adademy of General Dentistry and Texas Association of Women Dentists. In her spare time, Dr. Fleschler enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and is an avid runner. She participates in local and national marathons and triathlons.
